Dell Acquires SecureWorks

Dell have announced that they are acquiring SecureWorks, an information security service provider. SecureWorks claimed to have at least 15% of the companies at Fortune 500 in their client list. SecureWorks has been recognized by SC Magazine's as the "Best Managed Security Service" award in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009. It has also been named to the Inc. 500, Inc. 5000 and Deloitte lists of fastest-growing companies.

Dell will be using the acquisition branch-out its portfolio of IT-as-a-Service solutions. Dell plans to maintain SecureWorks’ current operations, and they will also continue to make investments in enhanced security offerings. Dell was founded in 1984. It develops, manufactures, and sells personal computers and other computer-related products. The product includes servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, computer peripherals and televisions.

CES 2011 Latest News

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2011 will be held from 6-9 January 2011. The annual gadget show has already ripe with news and gossips. This year, what's hot on CES are tablets. Apple's iPad will not be the only one harboring attention here, because there will be plenty of Android tablets. Google has been busy preparing Android 3.0 or "Honeycomb", which is optimized for tablet use. Acer, Archos, Asus, Creative, Dell, Entourage, Fusion Garage, LG, Motorola, MSI, Notion Ink, Samsung, Toshiba, and ViewSonic are expected to feature Honeycomb in the future.

If you decided to come to CES 2011, here are the exhibition hours:
- Thursday, January 6: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Friday, January 7: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday, January 8: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday, January 9: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

CES 2011 is produced by Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). CEA is the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the $165 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry. CES 2011 will feature products from 15 different categories. Be sure to check it out.

Ford Sales is on the Rise

Ford sales was up 19% in October, and if that's not enough, Ford Motor Co. said that annually, they have booked a 15% rise in 2010. The impressive score was highly contributed to high demands on for trucks and sedans. One of their latest launch, Ford Fiesta, is also successful on the worldwide market. "Fiesta is our strongest proof point yet that our global growth strategy is working," said Ford Motor Co.'s head of U.S. marketing, sales and service, Ken Czubay.

This is the second consecutive year where Ford managed to top the U.S. market share, leaving rivals like General Motors and Toyota behind. They are currently going strong with 1.9 million trucks and sedans sold in the U.S. alone.

Ford was recorded to have sold 190,976 vehicles in December 2010. Meanwhile, Ford’s light-vehicle sales in 2010 gained 17 percent rise to 1,968,500, including sales of Volvo, which they sold last year.
